Do you enjoy puzzles? How about a fun, high-quality educational puzzle game about angles that is accessible to first graders and above!

 

[Angle Jungle] was built by a team of students at Entertainment Technology Center, Carnegie Mellon University. This game is aiming to teach young students about angle especially for our client Pennsylvania’s Intermediate Unit 1. It took 15 weeks for us to finish and publish the game, which received great feedback. We got more than 200 downloads in a week!

My Role: Art Director, Producer

Responsible for concept design, character and environment design, illustration,animation and layout. Also took part in the game design and research, project management.

 

Software: concept painting (pencil), photoshop, Spine, Unity

 

Duration:

Research: 1-2 weeks

Game Design: 1-2 weeks

Concept Design :1 week

Environment Design: 1 week

Painting in PS: 4 weeks

Animation: 1 week

As an art director and illustrator, I designed and draw the character according to our game:

I also designed and draw the start scene and trophy room according to the story of our game.

I designed and draw the map of our game. In addition to that, I draw five different environments of our game.

We did more than 100 individual play-tests and visited three local primary school in Pittsburgh.
